Two Ways In

ArkAssist's grant-writing capabilities are reachable two co-equal ways — the structured multi-page workspace and the conversational ResearchArk Agent — both working on the same applications.

ArkAssist's grant-writing capabilities are reachable two co-equal ways. Both are first-class, both are fully supported, and both work on the same applications — so an application, its sections, budget, and compliance checks are identical no matter which door you came through.

The structured workspace

The multi-page ArkAssist UI is the precision path. You create an application, work section by section, draft and refine the PIF, build the budget in a table, run compliance checks, and track the application's lifecycle. Choose this when you want direct, deliberate control over every part of the proposal.

  • Application list and detail
  • Section editor with AI draft / accept
  • PIF drafting and view
  • Budget builder, compliance checker, success predictor (also available as standalone tools)
  • Template selection and management

The ResearchArk Agent

The Agent is the conversational path. You describe what you want in natural language and the Agent combines the same grant-writing steps into a multi-step flow — for grant-writing it can create a draft, generate an outline, draft sections, structure a budget, and run a compliance pass — pausing for your confirmation before any action that changes your workspace. Choose this when you want speed and guidance and are happy to review the Agent's proposed steps.

The same work underneath

Both doors perform the same grant-writing actions: create application, generate outline, generate sections, predict success, check compliance, build budget. The Agent does not reinvent grant-writing — it carries out the same steps you can run yourself in the structured workspace. That is why work started in one door is fully usable in the other: a draft the Agent created opens in the structured editor, and an application you built by hand can be analysed by the Agent.

There is no "right" door. Use the Agent to move fast and the structured workspace to refine — often on the same application.
