Browsing Funding
Browse the ArkSearch funding catalogue using quick filters, statistics cards, advanced filtering, and flexible sorting on the Browse page.
The Browse page at /arksearch/browse is designed for exploring the full funding catalogue without a specific search query. It provides quick filter presets, aggregate statistics, and the complete set of advanced filters so you can narrow thousands of opportunities down to those that match your criteria.
Quick Filters
Six preset filters appear at the top of the Browse page, providing one-click access to common views:

| Closing Soon | Opportunities with approaching deadlines |
| Always Open | Rolling or continuously open calls with no fixed deadline |
| Ending This Week | Calls whose submission deadline falls within the current week |
| High Value | Opportunities with a minimum funding amount of 1,000,000 EUR |
| Open Access | Calls that include open-access publication requirements |
| No Co-Funding | Opportunities that do not require matching funds from applicants |
Quick filters can be combined with the advanced filter panel and sorting controls described below.
Statistics Cards
The Browse page displays aggregate statistics about the current catalogue:
- Total opportunities -- The number of indexed opportunities.
- Active vs. expired -- How many calls are currently open versus past their deadline.
- Funding available -- Aggregate funding amounts across active opportunities.
- Career levels -- Distribution of opportunities by target career stage.
- Disciplines -- Breakdown by research discipline.
- Countries -- Geographic distribution of eligible countries.
These cards update dynamically as you apply filters, reflecting the subset you are viewing rather than the full catalogue.

Sorting
Control the order of displayed results using the sort control above the result list:

| Recent | Most recently indexed opportunities first |
| Deadline (ascending) | Nearest deadline first |
| Deadline (descending) | Furthest deadline first |
| Funding amount (ascending) | Lowest budget first |
| Funding amount (descending) | Highest budget first |
| Alphabetical A-Z | Title alphabetical order |
| Alphabetical Z-A | Title reverse alphabetical order |
Sorting works alongside both quick filters and advanced filters. A typical workflow: click Closing Soon, sort by Funding amount (descending), and browse the highest-value calls with approaching deadlines.
Pagination
Results are paginated. Navigation controls at the bottom let you move between pages. The current page position and total result count are always visible.
