History & Saved Searches

Access your recent search history, save frequently used queries with custom names, and manage your favorites with categories, notes, and export.

ArkSearch tracks your search activity and provides tools for organizing the opportunities you care about. The History page (/arksearch/history) manages your search queries, while the Favorites page (/arksearch/favorites) manages saved opportunities.

Search History

The History page has two tabs: Recent Searches (the default) and Saved Searches.

Recent Searches

Every search you run is recorded in your history. The Recent Searches tab fetches your history from the database and deduplicates entries by search ID. Each entry displays:

  • The query text you entered.
  • When the search was executed.
  • A preview of the results.
  • How many times you have run this query.

Available actions on recent searches:

ActionDescription
RerunExecute the search again with the current catalogue data
SavePromote the search to your Saved Searches list
Clear AllRemove all entries from your recent history

Saved Searches

When you save a search, it is stored with a custom name you assign. Saved searches are sorted by the date they were last used. Each entry shows:

  • The custom name you gave the search.
  • The original query text.
  • A preview of the search criteria (filters, parameters).
  • A preview of results from the last run.
  • The total number of times you have used this saved search.

Available actions on saved searches:

ActionDescription
RerunExecute the saved search with current catalogue data
Edit NameChange the custom name of the saved search
Delete / UnsaveRemove the search from your saved list

Favorites

The Favorites page at /arksearch/favorites lets you organize and manage the funding opportunities you have bookmarked from opportunity detail pages or search results.

Organization

The sidebar shows All Favorites with a count, plus any user-created categories. You can create custom categories to group opportunities by project, theme, or any other scheme that fits your workflow.
