Login & Authentication
Sign in to ResearchArk with email and password, Google, or ArkID SSO. Covers password recovery, email verification, and multi-factor authentication.
Go to beta.researchark.eu/login to sign in. The login page offers three options.
Email and Password
Enter the email address and password you used during registration, then click Login.
Email not verified yet? If your email address has not been confirmed, the login page shows two buttons:
- Already verified? Check again — re-attempts sign-in after you have clicked the link in your inbox.
- Resend verification email — sends a fresh confirmation link to your address.
Once your email is verified, sign-in proceeds normally.
Google Sign-In
Click Continue with Google. A popup opens where you select your Google account. ResearchArk receives your name and email from Google via Firebase Auth. If you previously registered with the same Google account, you are signed in immediately. If it is your first time with that Google account, ResearchArk creates an account automatically.
Google sign-ins do not require email verification.
ArkID SSO
Click Continue with ArkID to sign in using your ArkID identity. You are redirected to arkid.researchark.eu, where you authenticate with your ArkID credentials. After successful authentication you are returned to the ResearchArk dashboard automatically.
Use this option if your institution uses ArkID as its identity provider or if you have a pre-existing ArkID account.
Password Recovery
If you forgot your password:
- Click Forgot Password? on the login page.
- Enter the email address linked to your account.
- Check your inbox for a password reset email from ResearchArk (powered by Firebase Auth).
- Click the reset link and set a new password.
- Return to the login page and sign in with the new credentials.
If you registered exclusively with Google, you do not have a ResearchArk password. Use Continue with Google to sign in. You can add a password later from Account Settings.
Multi-Factor Authentication
If MFA is enabled on your account, a dialog appears after successful sign-in asking for a six-digit verification code sent to your email. Enter the code and click Verify to complete sign-in.
- The code expires after a short window. If it expires, the dialog re-sends a fresh code automatically.
- A countdown timer shows how long until you can request a new code manually.
To enable or disable MFA, go to Account Settings.
Session Management
ResearchArk uses Firebase Auth to manage your session on the main platform.
- Automatic token refresh — your session stays active in the background. You do not need to sign in again during normal use.
- Sign out — click your profile avatar in the top-right corner and select Logout.
Once signed in, continue to the Dashboard Overview.
